Hi Learn and Perform subscriber

As 2011 is gone and we welcome 2012, issues concerning human capital seem to continue to dominate the landscape - unemployment, talent issues, succession plans, raging debates over executive compensation, a lack of clarity of what performance means and productivity agenda.

The Harvard Business Review featured the talent issue extensively in many issues. Noel Tichy and Lafley outlined several strategies to manage some of these issues. On another issue, the comment by Peter Drucker rings true - people leave people not companies. Rosabeth Moss Kanter stresses practical cures for horrible bosses. While the books by Bob Sutton and Rajeev Peshwaria were wonderful, Rosabeth Moss Kanter statement that the best cure for horrible bosses is wonderful colleagues is so very true.

At SMR, we will be hosting two wonderful events, the Trainers-Meet- Trainers in Malaysia and the Asia HRD Congress in India, for details do email grace@smrhrgroup.com

Have a great 2012.

Enjoy the month ahead. I will be in touch later.
