Hi, I am Palan. Thank you for visiting my website. Having reached here, some of you may well ask: Who is Palan?
The goal of my work and that of my company is founded on the dream of partnering with organisations to help them realize the full potential of their people.
I have a brief CV herein below. Other than that my only hobby is working out in the gymnasium. That is my doctor's instruction. But I strive to do justice to my various priorities. I work on not-for-profit initiatives. I go cycling with my boys and sometimes we play chess and monopoly. I enjoy long walks with my wife and I cherish the time I spend with my mother when she visits us in KL and when I go over to India. I am also beginning to work out of Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Boston/Chicago, United States of America.
A quick intro to Palan
Palan’s life purpose to help people learn and perform at the workplace has led him to author more than a dozen books and hundreds of articles. This has led him to develop best practices in the Human Resources field.
As a professional speaker and trainer, he has achieved the highest accolade in the speaking profession: the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) from the National Speakers Association of the United States of America. He has worked internationally for over three decades in 30+ countries though his focus is very much Asian.
Palan is a recipient of the Darjah Datuk Paduka Mahkota Perak (DPMP), which carries the title Dato’ from DYMM Paduka Seri Sultan Azlan Shah, Sultan Perak Darul Ridzuan and the Johan Bintang Kenyalang (JBK) from Yang di-Pertua Negeri, Sarawak. A Fellow of the British Institute of Learning & Development, United Kingdom, he was recently chosen as an outstanding entrepreneur by Entrepreneur Asia.
Palan has been appointed to serve as a Director of Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (PSMB) by the Honourable Minister of Human Resources, Government of Malaysia.
Palan, a Malaysian, is presently the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SMR Technologies Berhad, a company listed on the ACE Market of the Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd. The organisation today employs about 200+ people from 25+ countries and operates in 11 countries.
