It is my passion to help people learn and perform at the workplace. I've spent a major part of my life working towards this goal. Though I have consulted and trained in over 27 countries across the world, Asia has remained my focus. I tailor the theories and techniques of training and development to suit the needs of Asian learners.

I have had the opportunity to work in a lot of countries in Asia - Malaysia, Singapore, India, China, Hong Kong, Brunei, the Middle East, South Korea, and Japan. I am honoured and touched by the recognition that has followed all the hard work.

I would say the best I that I have brought to training is the FUN method. I have always aimed to make training FUN - so that learners see learning for the intrinsically enjoyable activity that it is.

I also spend a lot of my time on competency and performance management solutions, an interest that has resulted in the HRDPower.net, the latest version of SMR's competency based software.

Now don't think work is all what I do. Well, my friends and family tell me I spend too much time at work. I do agree. I must say I wear many hats: those of a trainer, consultant, and speaker more often than others. I am the Chairman of the SMR HR Group (SMR stands for Specialist Management Resources). We were honoured when we took our company SMR Technologies Berhad, public. The Company is listed on the ACE Market of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (Bursa Securities Berhad). The public portion of the IPO was oversubscribed by 106 times.

The goal of our company is founded on the dream of partnering organisations to realise the full potential of their people.

My only hobby is working out in the gymnasium. That is my doctor's instruction. But I strive to do justice to my various priorities. I work on not-for-profit initiatives. I go cycling with my boys and sometimes we play chess and monopoly. I enjoy long walks with my wife and I cherish the time I spend with my mother when she visits us in KL and when I go over to India. I am also beginning to work out of Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Boston/Chicago, United States of America.
